Assistant Professor Pınar Acar is an anaesthesiology and reanimation specialist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
She graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1999 and completed her specialisation training in Anaesthesiology and Reanimation at the Ministry of Health Istanbul Training and Research Hospital between 2004 and 2008.
She began her career as a physician at Bartın No. 3 Health Centre (2000–2001) and served as a branch manager at the Bartın Provincial Health Directorate (2001–2003) and as a physician at the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate (2003–2004). Following her specialisation she worked at Ardahan State Hospital (2008–2010), Private Avrasya Hospital (2010–2011), Private Güngören Hospital (2011–2019) and Private Reyap Hospital (2019–2024) before joining Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
Her clinical interests include regional anaesthesia, general anaesthesia and algology.
Her published research examines the effect of intrathecal opioids added to levobupivacaine on postoperative pain following caesarean section. She is a member of the Turkish Society of Anaesthesiology and Reanimation and the Turkish Medical Association.
