Assistant Professor İsmail YILDIZ

Assistant Professor İsmail Yıldız is an anesthesiologist and intensive care specialist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at the same institution in 2011. He completed his subspecialty training in Intensive Care at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine Hospital (2014-2017).

His professional experience includes positions at Ağrı State Hospital (2011-2013), Afyon State Hospital (2013-2014) and Kilis State Hospital (2017-2019) before joining Biruni University in 2021.

His clinical interests include ECMO, sepsis, renal replacement therapy, echocardiography and ultrasonography in critical care, brain death and organ donation processes, ARDS and intensive care of organ transplant patients. His research on intensive care and liver transplantation has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international congresses.

He is a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber, the Turkish Intensive Care Association, the Turkish Society of Anesthesiology and Reanimation (TARD), the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM).
