Prof. Dr. Halil Erbiş is a general surgeon specializing in liver diseases, hepatobiliary surgery, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant, pancreatic diseases, laparoscopic surgery, and oncological surgery. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and subsequently completed his residency training in the Department of General Surgery at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine in 2007. In his professional career, he has worked in various institutions in the field of general surgery, including as a Clinical Fellow at Şişli Florence Nightingale Hospital between 2011 and 2012, before continuing his academic career as an Assistant Professor at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine between 2009 and 2013. In 2017, he received a Clinical Research and Good Clinical Practice Training Certificate, during which period he specialized in organ transplantation and directed his general surgery career toward this field. He now practices at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, with his expertise in organ transplantation holding a significant place in his professional career. His research has focused extensively on renal and liver transplantation outcomes, resulting in a substantial body of international peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the Turkey Organ Transplant Organizations Coordination Association and the National Surgical Association.
