Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alper ÖZTÜRK

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alper Öztürk is a general surgeon at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, focusing on bariatric and metabolic surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2003 and completed his residency training in General Surgery at the same institution in 2010. His professional experience includes compulsory service at Muş State Hospital (2011–2012), followed by positions at Florence Nightingale Hospital (2012), Universal Italian Hospital (2012–2014) and Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2014–2015).

His clinical interests include gastric sleeve gastrectomy, type 2 diabetes surgery, SADI-S, gastric bypass, duodenal switch and transit bipartition. He is a member of the National Surgical Association, the National Society of Trauma and Emergency Surgery, the Phlebology Association and the Dialog in Endocrinology Association.
