Assistant Professor Emir NEKAY

Assistant Professor Emir Nekay is a general surgeon at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Maltepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and completed his residency in General Surgery at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2018, where he trained between 2012 and 2018. His professional experience includes positions at Tokat Erbaa State Hospital (2008–2012) and Ağrı Doğubeyazıt State Hospital (2018–2020) before joining Biruni University.

His clinical interests include trauma surgery, hepatobiliary surgery and gastrointestinal surgery. He is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Hepatobiliary Surgery Association, the Trauma and Emergency Surgery Association and the Turkish Surgical Association.
