Prof. Dr. Özcan YILDIZ

Prof. Dr. Özcan Yıldız is a medical oncologist specializing in lung, breast, gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers, as well as neuroendocrine tumors, brain tumors, bone and soft tissue cancers, and the interpretation of genetic tests in oncology. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine's English Medicine Program before undertaking his residency in Internal Medicine at Taksim Training and Research Hospital and his subspecialty training in Medical Oncology at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He began his academic career as Assistant Professor at Düzce University's Department of Internal Medicine, completed a clinical fellowship at the University of Toronto's Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and served as Specialist at Bursa Ali Osman Sönmez Oncology Hospital before returning to Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine's Division of Medical Oncology as Associate Professor. He was subsequently appointed Professor at Istanbul Medipol University, where he served for over a decade, and now practices at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. His research has focused extensively on gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors and rare oncological presentations, resulting in a substantial body of international peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) and ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology).
