Biruni Hospital's accessibility statement covers our WCAG 2.1 Level AA target, ongoing testing methods, and how to report a barrier or request support.
Biruni University Hospital wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use this website. This statement sets out what we do to support that, what still needs work, and how to reach us if something does not work for you.
Our commitment
Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We describe this as a target rather than a completed certification, because an honest accessibility statement says where a site currently stands, not only where it aims to be.
How we work toward this
A few practices sit behind that target:
- Testing with assistive technologies, so the site can be checked the way a screen reader or switch device user would actually encounter it.
- Maintaining sufficient colour contrast between text and background.
- Providing text alternatives for images.
- Keeping every page navigable by keyboard alone.
