Prof. Dr. Bülent ACUNAŞ

Prof. Dr. Bülent Acunaş is a radiologist specializing in interventional and abdominal radiology. He graduated with honors from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1980 and completed his residency training in the Department of Radiology at the same institution, later becoming a Fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Society of Europe (FCIRSE). He progressed through the academic ranks at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine's Department of Radiology, from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor and then Professor, while heading the department across several periods, including its Interventional Radiology and Pediatric Radiology divisions. He also served as Head of the Radiology Department at Istanbul Cerrahi Hospital and Acıbadem International Hospital, and currently practices at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine. His research record includes 68 articles published in SSCI, SCI, and SCI-Expanded indexed journals, cited over 2,700 times, with an H-index of 26. He is a member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the Cardiovascular and Interventional Society of Europe (CIRSE), the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (SCVIR), the Turkish Society of Radiology (TRD), and the Hepatobiliary Surgery Association.
