Elif İkbal Eskioğlu is a speech and language therapist and a lecturer at Biruni University, working with children and adults on developmental and acquired communication disorders.
She graduated on a full scholarship from the Department of Speech and Language Therapy at Biruni University in 2018, took her master's degree at Medipol University between 2019 and 2022 — qualifying as an expert speech and language therapist — and has been reading for a PhD in the same field at Medipol since 2022.
She worked as a speech and language therapist at Biruni University Hospital from 2019 to 2020 and as a research assistant at Biruni University from 2019 to 2023, becoming a lecturer there in 2023. Clinical placements and internships from her undergraduate years onwards, together with regular attendance at professional scientific meetings, have shaped her practice.
The disorders she works with are acquired and developmental language disorders, speech sound disorders, motor speech disorders, fluency disorders and voice disorders.
Her published research appears in the Journal of Voice, Applied Neuropsychology: Adult and the Türkiye Klinikleri Journal of Health Sciences, covering voice therapy for paediatric professional voice users, a Turkish psycholinguistic naming database, the Turkish adaptation of a language impairment screening test for adults and older people, and naming performance after COVID-19. She has belonged to the Association of Speech and Language Therapists since 2019.
