Prof. Dr. Uğursay Kızıltepe is a cardiovascular surgeon specializing in aneurysmal diseases of the aortic arch and thoracoabdominal aorta, aortic dissections, open and endovascular aortic surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, repair of mitral, aortic, and tricuspid heart valves, multi-arterial coronary artery bypass surgery, and peripheral vascular surgery. He completed his medical education at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine before undertaking his residency training in Cardiovascular Surgery at Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Hospital and a clinical fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta, USA. He served as Lecturer at Ankara University's Department of Cardiovascular Surgery before progressing through leadership roles, including Deputy Head of Clinic at Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Hospital and Head of Clinic at the University of Health Sciences Ankara Dışkapı Training and Research Hospital, while holding a Professorship at the University of Health Sciences and later Antalya City Hospital. He currently practices at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. He has completed extensive international training in minimally invasive and endovascular aortic and cardiac surgery techniques across Germany, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, and the United States. His research has focused extensively on aortic dissection, cardiac surgery outcomes, and vascular pathophysiology, resulting in a substantial body of international peer-reviewed publications, including work published in the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, the Journal of Vascular Surgery, and the Annals of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the National Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society, the Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, the European Society of Cardiovascular Surgery Advisory Board, and the Gulf Aortic Summit Advisory Board.
