Prof. Dr. Nahide ONSUN

Prof. Dr. Nahide Onsun is a dermatologist specializing in dermatooncology (skin cancers), dermoscopy, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. She completed her undergraduate medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine before undertaking further training in Histology and Embryology, and then Dermatology and Venereal Diseases, at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. She was awarded Associate Professorship in Dermatology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1987, later serving as Deputy Chief of the Dermatology and Venereal Diseases Clinic at Beyoğlu Training and Research Hospital and then as Chief of the same clinic at Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital for nearly two decades. She went on to head the Department of Dermatology at Bezmialem Vakıf University before joining Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in 2024. She holds leadership roles including Board Membership of the Psoriasis and Cutaneous Inflammation Association and the Chairmanship of the Dermatooncology Working Group of the Turkish Dermatology Association, and is a member of the International Society of Dermatology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology, the International Society of Dermoscopy, the International Psoriasis Council, EORTC (European Cancer Research and Treatment Organization), and the Turkish Dermatology Association.
