Prof. Dr. İlker Tolga Özgen is a pediatric endocrinologist specializing in growth retardation, puberty problems, menstrual irregularities and increased hair growth in adolescent girls, diabetes, obesity, thyroid and pituitary disorders, genital abnormalities, and adrenal gland disorders. He completed his medical education at Istanbul University's Istanbul Faculty of Medicine before undertaking his residency in Pediatrics and subspecialty training in Pediatric Endocrinology at Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Medicine. He progressed through the academic ranks at Bezmialem Vakıf University Faculty of Medicine, from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in 2013 and Professor in 2018, and currently practices at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. He has authored a total of 160 international and domestic publications, including 48 research articles in international journals, and has received three awards for his research presented at national congresses. He is a member of the National Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Association, and has participated widely in scientific events as a committee member, speaker, and session chairman. He speaks French and English.
