Prof. Dr. Fazilet ALTIN

Prof. Dr. Fazilet Altin is an otorhinolaryngologist specializing in aesthetic nose and ear surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, thyroid and salivary gland surgery, and vestibular (balance) disorders. She graduated from the English program of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1998 and began her career as a resident at Eskişehir Osmangazi University's ENT Clinic. After completing her specialty training, she fulfilled her compulsory service at Sivas Numune Hospital before joining Istanbul Haseki Training and Research Hospital in 2011, where she contributed to the training of numerous residents over more than a decade while further developing her expertise in thyroid surgery. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2021, and has served at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, since 2022. Her research has focused extensively on allergic rhinitis, olfactory disorders, and hearing loss genetics, resulting in a substantial body of international peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She is a member of the Istanbul ENT-HNS Specialists Association and the Turkish Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery Association.
