Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Koçaş is a cardiologist specializing in interventional cardiology, chronic total occlusion, complex coronary interventions, heart valve diseases, and TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation), alongside hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, and heart failure. He earned his medical degree from Selçuk University Meram Faculty of Medicine before completing his cardiology residency training at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Institute of Cardiology. His career progressed from Siverek State Hospital during his compulsory service to Istanbul University Institute of Cardiology and later Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Institute of Cardiology, and he currently practices at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital. His research has focused extensively on interventional cardiology, contrast-induced nephropathy, and coronary artery disease, resulting in a substantial body of international peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology, the European Percutaneous Intervention Association, the European Society of Cardiology, and SCAI (Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions).
