Prof. Dr. Aytül Çorbacıoğlu Esmer is a perinatologist specializing in detailed ultrasound, fetal echocardiography, Doppler ultrasound, and the follow-up of high-risk and twin pregnancies, as well as fetal invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and cordocentesis. She graduated as valedictorian from Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2002, later completing her specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and her subspecialty training in Perinatology at Istanbul University's Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, including a research fellowship at the University of British Columbia. She progressed through faculty and specialist roles at Istanbul University, Istanbul Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital, and several other institutions, earning her Associate Professorship in 2015 and her Professorship in 2020, and currently serves as a faculty member at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine. Her research has focused extensively on fetal anomalies, prenatal diagnosis, and pregnancy complications, resulting in a substantial body of international peer-reviewed publications. She is a member of the Turkish Medical Association, the Turkish Gynecology and Obstetrics Society, the Maternal Fetal Medicine and Perinatology Association, and the Association of Perinatology Specialists.
