Gamze Ustabaş works as a dietitian at Biruni University Hospital, where her practice combines medical nutrition therapy with individually planned nutrition programmes for healthy individuals.
She completed her nutrition and dietetics education at the Istanbul Bilim University Institute of Health Sciences in 2017.
Her clinical training took her through several Istanbul hospitals — Şişli, Kadıköy and Istanbul Florence Nightingale hospitals, Medical Park Bahçelievler and Medipol Sefaköy.
The conditions she works with include oncology, bariatric and obesity surgery, cardiovascular atherosclerotic disease, digestive system disorders, inflammatory and infectious diseases, and disorders of the liver, gallbladder and pancreas. She also covers nutrition in childhood and adolescence, follow-up during pregnancy and lactation, sports nutrition, eating disorders and nutrigenetics.
Alongside clinical nutrition therapy, she prepares healthy eating plans and structured programmes for weight loss, weight gain and weight maintenance.
