Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğuray Payam HACISALİHOĞLU

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğuray Payam Hacısalihoğlu is a pathologist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

He completed his undergraduate medical education in the English Program of Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 2000 and his residency training at the Department of Pathology of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 2014, where he served as a research assistant between 2007 and 2014.

His career includes a specialist position at Gümüşhane State Hospital (2014-2015), followed by academic appointments at Istanbul Yeni Yüzyıl University Faculty of Medicine as Assistant Professor (2015-2021) and Associate Professor (2021-2024), and at Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine as Associate Professor since 2024.

His areas of expertise include breast pathology, gynaecopathology and gastrointestinal system pathology, and his research interests extend to digital pathology and deep learning applications in histopathological image analysis, with numerous articles published in international peer-reviewed journals.

He is a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber and the Turkish Society of Pathology.
