Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şengül Aydın Yoldemir is an internal medicine specialist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
She completed her medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (1997-2004) and her residency training in Internal Medicine at the Internal Medicine Clinic of Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital (2007-2011), later receiving the title of Associate Professor from the Department of Internal Medicine at Health Sciences University (2020-2025).
Her professional experience includes internal medicine practice at Merzifon Kara Mustafa Pasha State Hospital (2011-2014), Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital (2014-2019) and Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital (2020-2025) before joining Biruni University in 2026.
Her clinical interests include obesity and diabetes treatment, hypertension, thyroid diseases, fatty liver disease, management of rare diseases, nutrition and healthy aging. Her research focuses on metabolic diseases, insulin resistance and novel biomarkers, with numerous articles published in international peer-reviewed journals.
She is a member of the Istanbul Medical Chamber, the Turkish Society of Internal Medicine Specialists (TİHUD) and the Internal Medicine Specialists Association (İÇHASDER).
