Assoc. Prof. Dr. Necdet DEMİR

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Necdet Demir is an orthopedic surgeon at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, specializing in sports injuries, knee and shoulder surgery, arthroplasty and robotic surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (2004–2010) and completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Bezmialem Vakıf University Faculty of Medicine (2011–2016). After compulsory service as a general practitioner in Muş (2010–2011) and as an orthopedic surgeon at Hakkari Yüksekova State Hospital (2016–2017), he joined Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, where he served as Assistant Professor from 2017 to 2024 before being appointed Associate Professor in 2024.

He holds Stryker Mako certifications in robotic partial knee, total knee and total hip arthroplasty, and has served as an instructor in the Turkish Football Federation Healthcare Professionals Training Program. He is the author of numerous articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals, and his research was recognized with the poster presentation first prize at the 28th National Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Congress. He is a member of the Turkish Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology (TOTBID).
