Assoc. Prof. Dr. Melih Üçer is a neurosurgeon at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

He graduated from Mersin University Faculty of Medicine in 2007 and completed his specialty training in Neurosurgery at Istanbul Bakırköy Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital in 2014. He then worked as a neurosurgery specialist at Istanbul Health Sciences University Kanuni Sultan Süleyman Training and Research Hospital for 7.5 years, and in 2017 served as a visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin Department of Neurosurgery in Madison, USA.

He received the title of Associate Professor in 2021 and joined Biruni University Hospital in December 2021.

His clinical interests include degenerative, minimally invasive and deformity spine surgery, scoliosis and kyphosis, spine and spinal cord tumour, infection and trauma surgery, neurooncological surgery, neurotrauma, brain pacemaker (Parkinson's) and spinal cord stimulation procedures.

He is a member of the Turkish Neurosurgical Society, the Turkish Spine Society, EUROSPINE and the Turkish Medical Association.
