Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem ÇINAR

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Çınar is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist currently practicing at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, with a clinical focus on neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, scoliosis-kyphosis management, musculoskeletal pain, and lymphoedema and pelvic floor rehabilitation. She completed her medical education at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine (2003–2009) and her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital (2011–2015). She went on to serve as a specialist physician at the University of Health Sciences, Istanbul Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital (2015–2022), followed by Liv Hospital Ulus (2022–2023), before joining Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in 2023. Her clinical interests span neurological rehabilitation, scoliosis-kyphosis / corset and Schroth therapy, musculoskeletal pain and injuries, lymphoedema and orthopaedic rehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation, osteoporosis, osteoarthrosis, pelvic floor and paediatric rehabilitation, musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventional ultrasonographic procedures, neural therapy, and fibromyalgia. Her research has focused extensively on spinal cord injury rehabilitation, stroke rehabilitation, and scoliosis, resulting in international and national peer-reviewed publications and several book chapters. She is a member of the Scoliosis Research and Treatment Association, the Turkish Rheumatism Research and Treatment Association, and the Turkish Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association.
