Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Yaman is a pediatric intensive care specialist also qualified in general pediatric health and diseases, currently practicing in the pediatric intensive care unit at Biruni University Hospital. He graduated from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Medicine in 2004 and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Ankara Dr. Sami Ulus Training and Research Hospital for Children's Health and Diseases in 2009, followed by a pediatric intensive care subspecialty at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 2011 and 2014. He worked as a pediatrician at Van Obstetrics and Children's Hospital (2010–2011) and as a pediatric intensive care specialist at Gaziantep Children's Hospital (2015–2016), before joining Istinye University Faculty of Medicine and Istinye University Bahçeşehir Liv Hospital, where he served as Assistant Professor from 2017 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. He joined Biruni University Hospital in July 2024. His clinical interests include pediatric bone marrow, cardiac, kidney, and liver transplantation, postoperative neurosurgical and scoliosis surgery care, continuous renal replacement therapy, plasma exchange, hemolytic uremic syndrome, Guillain-Barré syndrome, and trauma, and his research has focused extensively on pediatric critical care, mechanical ventilation, and pediatric COVID-19/MIS-C outcomes. He is a member of the Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Association, the International Nosocomial Infection Control Committee (INICC), the Turkish Medical Association, and the Turkish Pediatric Association.
