Assistant Professor Yunus Emre AKPINAR

Assistant Professor Yunus Emre Akpınar is a radiologist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2012 and completed his radiology residency training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2018.

He worked at Istanbul Bahçelievler Community Health Centre (2013) and at Muş Bulanık State Hospital (2018–2020) before joining Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in 2025.

His clinical interests include musculoskeletal radiology, cardiac radiology and interventional radiology.

His research covers cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, breast imaging, elastography and vascular endothelial function, with articles published in international peer-reviewed journals; he has also contributed a chapter on the principles of dental radiology to a Turkish textbook. He is a member of the Turkish Society of Radiology.
