Assistant Professor Sultan Turan Eroğlu is a psychiatrist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
She graduated from Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2008 and completed her residency training in Psychiatry at Ord. Prof. Dr. Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital between 2009 and 2014.
She worked as a general practitioner and medical director at Tekirdağ Hayrabolu No. 4 Primary Health Care Centre (2008–2009) and as a general practitioner at Batman Kozluk State Hospital (2014–2015) before joining Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital in 2025.
Her clinical interests include mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, individual psychotherapies and biological psychiatry.
Her academic work includes a randomised controlled comparison of cognitive behavioural therapy and cognitive therapy in schizophrenia, presented at the 43rd Annual Congress of the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies. She is a member of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey, the Istanbul Medical Chamber and the EMDR Association.
