Assistant Professor Pervin Avcı is a specialist in microbiology and clinical microbiology at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, where she also works in the field of traditional and complementary medicine (GETAT).

She graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and completed her residency training in Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine between 1994 and 1997.

She worked at Avcılar Hayat Hospital (1997–2000), at Acıbadem Bakırköy Labmed Laboratory (2000–2005) and at Private Beykent University Hospital (2020–2022) before joining Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

Her professional interests include virology, the microbiota, phytotherapy, aromatherapy, ozone therapy and mesotherapy.

Her academic work has covered viral diagnostics, antibiotic resistance and laboratory accreditation, presented at national and international scientific meetings. She is a member of the Turkish Society of Microbiology, the Clinical Microbiology Specialty Society and the Mesotherapy Association.
