Assistant Professor Nazire BAĞATIR

Assistant Professor Nazire Bağatır is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

She graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and completed her residency training at Istanbul Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital between 2011 and 2016.

She worked as a specialist at Bingöl State Hospital (2016–2017), returned to Istanbul Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital (2017–2022) and served at Liv Hospital (2022–2023) before joining Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.

Her clinical interests include lymphoedema, fibromyalgia, injections for muscle and joint pain, paediatric rehabilitation, joint arthritis, osteoporosis, orthopaedic rehabilitation and neurological rehabilitation.

Her academic work focuses on neurogenic bladder and functional outcomes after stroke, ultrasound-guided injection techniques and rehabilitation following neurological and orthopaedic injury; she has contributed chapters to Turkish textbooks on cancer rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury and post-surgical rehabilitation. She is a member of the Turkish Rheumatism Research and Combat Association and the Turkish Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Association.
