Assistant Professor Begüm Güneş is a dermatologist at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
She graduated second in her class from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (2011-2017) and completed her residency in Dermatology at Bezmialem Vakıf University, where she served as a resident physician between 2018 and 2023.
Her professional experience includes general practice at the Emergency Department of Lütfiye Nuri Burat State Hospital (2017-2018) and a specialist position at Çumra State Hospital (2023-2024) before joining Biruni University in 2024.
Her clinical interests include psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria, acne, rosacea, follow-up and treatment of skin tumours, dermoscopy, hair and nail diseases, autoimmune bullous diseases and hidradenitis suppurativa, as well as cosmetic dermatology applications such as botulinum toxin, spot treatment, face and hair mesotherapy, PRP and laser applications.
Her research on psoriasis, biologic treatment outcomes and Kaposi sarcoma has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. She is a member of the Turkish Dermatology Association and the Skin and Venereal Diseases Association.
